When asked earlier in the year if the newly reformed At The Drive-in would be producing new material, Omar Rodriguez-Lopez gave a fairly straight answer by quoting the reunion as ‘purely a nostalgia thing‘ and ‘like an old t-shirt that doesn’t fit anymore‘. Although hopeful that this would not be the case it would seem that most fans are happy just to get an opportunity to see the band perform live again and details are starting to appear for summer dates.
The band are already on the line-up for Benecassim as well as Reading and Leeds and have now announced plans for a warm up gig prior to taking the stage at Coachella Valley Festival.
Lopez and crew will be playing Marfa in their home state of Texas on April 12 before appearing at both Coachella events on April 15th and 22nd before heading over to Europe nearer the summer for festival slots aplenty!

One of the greatest bands of our generation!
However would I rather their reformation be
Permanent and the mars volta split…
No
Vaye and in / casino / out are essential listens!
