Damon Albarn muses on the opening festival of the 2012 season, onefest where he will be headlining with music taken from his opera Dr.Dee
“I’m really looking forward to the festival; Wiltshire in Spring feels like a perfect setting for Dr.Dee songs. Some of my favourite musicians are playing with me, it will be special.”
Albarn will be playing a selection of his own music as well as music from Dr. Dee – produced by Albarn and Rufus Norris. He will be accompanied on the line-up by an eclectic mix of acts including Dry the River, Crash and the Bandicoots, Raghu Dixit, emerging female vocalist-songwriters Rae Morris and Jodie Marie as well as Michele Stodart (of The Magic Numbers) and Nick Harper (son of the renowned Roy).
Onefest, previously known as Honeyfest takes place on Saturday 14th April and gates open at 11am.
The festival takes place in the heart of beautiful Wiltshire’s crop- circle territory and adjacent to the well- known Chalk white horses so any of you mystical folk should feel right at home here. You might even get to see one of the many crop circle artists who like to live in this area.
