Johnny Marr and Mike Joyce have both denied rumours of a Smiths reunion. Joyce spoke earlier this afternoon on Beatwolf radio and commented on his surprise at hearing he would be playing with The Smiths once again.
Johnny Marr has spoken to NME and confirmed that a reunion is not planned and that the whole affair was probably sparked by comments made back in February where Marr had joked that if the current goverment was to step down then he would reform The Smiths – he also said previously that he would rather eat his own testicals than reform with Morrissey and Co so he really must hate Cameron!
Shame but then the Stone Roses tried to deny the rumours to0 – and so did Steps!
