Morrissey has announced his only 2012 UK show so far, the gig will be at Manchester Arena on 28th July. Tickets will go on sale at 9am on 27th April and fans will be restricted to six tickets per person.
This years gig will be his first home town gig since playing the Apollo in 2009. Love him or hate him, the prospect of any Morrissey gig is exciting and the eccentric ex Smiths frontman always puts on a good show.
The last 12 months have been a mixed bag for Morrissey with comments about his media portrayal and his thoughts on the Norway massacre among others being taken badly or out of context. Claiming we live in dumbed down times He is quoted as saying “Everything – news media, music, music magazines – are presented with the assumption that the people as a whole are utterly thick.”
