O. Children have recently announced the release of their second album ‘Apnea’, for release on 28th May and to mark this they are giving away a free download of an upcoming track called ‘PT Cruiser’.
The track is named after the Chrysler PT Cruiser and according to the song O. Children’s is white!
On this track O. Children have opted for a different sound to their prior release, they have traded in their synth driven Goth post-punk sound and exchanged it for a more straight up rock one with a ‘wall of noise’ production. The synth’s are still present but not in such abundances.
The song starts with a lovely clean bass riff and then in kicks the drums and a Joy Division style guitar riff. Next step enter synths and Tobias’ great vocals that are deep and bone shaking.
No wonder the track is named after a car the way it drives along!
Listen to this loud to fully absorb the new wave influenced O. Children.
The track has a great feel to it and hopefully the rest of ‘Apnea’ will be as promising as ‘PT Cruiser’.
